CD-SC2 – The child will demonstrate knowledge related to the dynamic properties of earth and sky.

CD-SC2.4c Makes simple observations of the characteristics, movement, and seasonal changes of sun, moon, stars and clouds. Compares the daytime/ nighttime cycle.

WSO: Observes the sky and the natural and human-made objects in it.

Activities: Starlab.  A cheap alternative is the twilight turtle.  This bedtime turtle actually has a fairly accurate nighttime sky it projects with a key to finding constellations.

Cloud Watching.  Just take some time to lay back with the students and watch the clouds move in the sky.
