CD-MA5 – The child will explore, recognize and describe spatial relationships between objects.
CD-MA5.4a Uses appropriate directional language to indicate where things are in their environment: positions, distances, order.
WSO: Shows understanding of and uses several positional words.

Activities: Three Bears.  Giving students three bears and a cup, play through various positional words using these manipulatives.

Treasure Hunt.  Have a treasure hunt with various positional cues.  Example: "the next clue will be ABOVE the music center."
